About the 2008 Federal
Economic Stimulus Package
Later this spring most
Vermonters will begin receiving a Federal Economic Stimulus
check, compliments
of the US Government.
The idea behind this piece of the
overall 2008 Economic Stimulus Plan is that
the Government gives us money and we, as voracious
consumers, go out immediately and spend the money to buy
something like a new computer, television set, or maybe even
a car. Like a series of dominoes, our national shopping
spree increases sales for businesses who now need to make
more stuff so they hire more employees and buy more stuff
from other businesses and before you know it our economy is
just ticking away again.
